Exclamation Help! How high does your Temp. Gauge go??

I have a 99 GS3, and my temp. guage inside the car goes to about half or just a little above half, is this too high? A guy at a radiator shop told me that I must get the temp. gauge inside the engine replaced ($100). Thanks for anyones help.

That radiator shop is trying to make some quick bucks. Mine is a little above half too.

Default I'm In SUNNY CALIFORNIA

I was in Los Angeles over the weekend, and the temperature was 97 degrees. My needle stays where it always does...half. The car was purchased in Scottsdale Arizona, where it gets even hotter, and it never rises above half. Relax and keep your cash where it belongs....buying accessories.
