Everytime i start the car a sqeeking sound emerges from the engine. It is not THAT loud although i do hear it from the inside of the car. It sounds like something needs to be lubricated so im asking you guys if you can pin point or give me a general info about where the sound could be coming from. Im really close to going ape **** with my wd40

Either get some belt squeel dressing like said above, or get a new belt. I would go with the belt, the dressing is like glue and I never really recommended it for people.

Who to hold responsible if the belt brakes at 65K?, I was told by a lexus technitian that the recommended timming belt change indicated in our owner manuals and repair manuals were never alterred when they introduced VVT-i, VVT-i puts more strain on the belt thus causing it to wear out more rapidly, yes you can wait as long as you want, but the price of not replacing a 50 doller belt can run you over 1k in damages. Ive heard of timming belts on the gs-3 braking at 67k and 74k, so if it does brake you have to pay for towing a new timming belt, they would tell you that you should change the serpentine belt with it plus the work. I dont know but I would rather be safe then sorry.
