Wondering how much interest there would be for a used S/C setup?

Default Wondering how much interest there would be for a used S/C setup?

Based on previous threads on this subject, it seems there was lots of initial interest when buddies like TTpimp and Morris sold their setups on here. We all know that Millen doesn't sell them anymore, so scarcity is obvious. Turbo setups are not for the faint of heart or wallet. What is someone with a GS to do, eh? As yall know, I've had mine for over a year and I love it.

I won't let the cat out of the bag just yet, but I know someone who is contemplating possibly selling theirs. I figured this would probably be the best place to get varied opinions so that someone could make up their mind one way or another.

Price? Probably somewhere near the $4-5k range.

Parts? Probably all. Charger, pipes, intercooler, brackets, filter, etc. Don't know about injectors simply because they don't have the stockers, so that's still up in the air. Everything else would be included. I think there are several spare pulleys also available. Not 100% on that though.

Availability? If the decision is made to do this, it would be professionally uninstalled and shipped to the purchaser on the spot. No waiting, no fuss, no muss.

Condition? Used, but very much like new. If this happens at all, when yall find out who it is you'll know they take care of their stuff very very well. This is definetly NOT a blown unit or anything like that at all.

OK, that's enough for now.

What I'm looking for is to show how much interest, if any, for this and to get some feedback about everything posted so far. If the interest is there, then they may decide to go ahead and let the cat out of the bag and take it to the next level as far as a possible sale.

Anyway, share. Opinions, good/bad/indifferent.

BTW mods, I posted it here in the general area because it's simply a fact finding mission for now. If it goes any further, I'll move it into the FI forum.

Thanks.

Good point. I didn't really discuss oil lines, but I would assume that they will be included in the deal. It would be of no use to them anyway I would imagine.

Jaime,

From my observations there is a lot of interest, but only a very few will move forward with the decision to pull the trigger on it. Same as when RMM sold these things originally...

The easiest way (IMO) is to actually go to the tuner who is removing the SC setup and have them put it directly on another one. That's what TTurbpimp and I did and made the swap much easier... I had some stock parts (injectors you mentioned for example) that he needed as well, so that helped too. Plus you have more leverage with a 'two-fer' with the install shop.

Dave, that will totally be an option if sold to someone locally.

i'd be interested, but i heard there's still one RMM S/C kit left? and it's goin' for 4500, why would you charge more for a used one? just a question, how many miles and everything...
