Here we go again...Bottom line, both cars are fast. In the real world, if 2 stock 4's line up at the light, the winner is going to be the better driver. The decision to get a 400 or 430 should not be based on theory of which one is quicker but based on the individual condition of the car.

I believe it was C&D that tested the '98 GS4 @ 5.7 0-60mph. To the best of my knowledge - no other GS4 (regardless of year) ever tested at that number again. Maybe it was a "ringer" or the conditions were perfect for that test. Regardless, I do believe it will come down to the condition of the car and the skill of the driver.

Next point, Lexus is stating that the 3GS4 is the fatest Lexus ever - hmmm, did they forget their '98 stats? Anyone have idea?

What is the redline for both GS400 and GS430?

Redline is 6400 RPM on the 430.

I think this depends on what condition and what options you want. The ML sound system is just better than Nak or Pioneer. The 430 Nav is better. Some of the little quirks of the 400 have been solved on the 430. The 400 has better options relative to modding engine wise. The 430 looks better due to nicer rear tail lights ( not much else to distinguish between them ), then again you could upgrade the tail lights on a 400. As far as quickness, I'd be willing to bet that this would have much more to do with the driver than the cars, as far differences.

Get the car that is the best buy relative to condition, color, mods, mileage, etc, Good Luck, I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever GS4X0 you get.

Very good taste you have, and are you sure from a cobra to a Luxury performance. I think you're better off since you u have a cobra with the GS400 for peformance aspects.
