Jap spec ARISTO would kill an e46 M3!!!

See, I call threads like as "internet racing". It's when a bunch of guys guesstimate and speculate about what car will win against what car when in truth none of them has ever experienced it themselves in real life. Nothing against you guys, but threads like this are really pointless.
Having said that, I owned an Aristo V300 with all the BPU++ bolt-ons. I've never dyno'ed the car (never had the chance, I sold it a couple of weeks ago). But a dyno slip from a very similarly modded car (a supra) here in Jakarta posted 420hp to the wheels. I suppose you can take away 10% from that car (since his is a 6sp and mine's an auto) and you will come out to right around 375-380hp to the wheels for my car. A dyno slip for an aristo V300 in Japan with less mods than me (except he got the super nice 102RON fuel and Mine's VX-ROM ECU unit) yielded a mind-blowing 460hp to the wheels. But we can forget about that number because I never boost that high and my car never sees the good Japanese fuel. So, I "suppose" saying that my aristo at the last count being 375hp to the wheels is pretty safe bet.
Before the kit, the audio and all that heavy stuff, I had a chance to race against a stock 350z and a turbo B18C. I walk away from them quite easily and they never actually caught up. That's saying quite a lot since my car looks and feels like a fat cow. I also had a chance to run against a mildly modded RX-7 but his engine blew up (thanks to rotary power...) before we ever had a chance to max out the race, but right to the end, we were neck to neck. There were also a couple of subaru STI spec C's but I never had a chance against those guys, especially since they all upgraded their turbos and were all manual. It was quite embarrassing really, coz I felt like my car was stationary while the subarus just blew by me.
So finally, in my experience, having both sat in an M3 and owned a V300, I can tell you right now, stock for stock, the V300 will not have ANY CHANCE against the M3. Get the standard BPU upgrades for the Aristo and you might be lucky to follow the M3's pace closely but you will still lose. Go single turbo and then it's bye2 for the stock M3, but then again, it won't be a fair race....

An Aristo TT never was designed to beat an M3... Those are totally different beasts ...
In Asia, the prestige of an Aristo does not even come close to a M3.
An reasonable used Aristo TT can be have for US$17 - 20,000
Japan never really have had a tradition for V8 (or larger) engines, so Toyota's initial plans was to find a cost efficient solution to make up for the lack of engine displacement. And, the Supra 3L twinturbo engine was readily available ...

by talking about this stuff, we can learn more about our own cars and other cars out on the road. All we're doing is taking numbers and matching them up and comparing different vehicles and how they'd do against eachother. I don't understand how the thread is pointless. Just by reading this thread, i learned more about the Aristo V300 which I really didn't know much about.
People do this all the time with sports teams and other stuff. Looking at stats and players on a team and how they would do against eachother.
I'm just stating my own experience in my cousin's E46 M3 and how it compared to my GS430. I did not know that the V300 was so fast.

Sports team like the F1 team can be compared because you always put an identical driver (like Schumacher) behind an identical car (he always drives his Ferrari F1 car) on an identical track (Monaco, Malaysia, wherever) so his numbers/stats can almost always be guaranteed to be somewhat the same on every race.
What you learned about the V300 is speculation from other members on this forum. It does not equal to facts especially since none of these guys (except the dude who did the swap and me) has ever driven in one. They are ASSUMING this car might win on straightaways or that car might lose in the twisties.
I don't know man, I am not trying to start a flame war here, but I still think threads like these are pointless...

with light mods, of course the V300 would take the M3, but talking stock for stock, i think that M3 would still come out on top.
Plus, performance wise, the V300 would just be killed by the M3. The handling on aristo cannot compete against the M3. Unless it had struts and sways.
both are awesome cars nonetheless...

I really don't know what the comparisson is to a v300 to a m3. Is there a point on comparing a 7 yr old luxury sedan to a brand new sport sedan? Even if I had the v300 and an m3 would pull up right next to me, I would have to tuck my tail and just let it go.
For the sake of arguement, person-a bought a brand new m3 and person-b got a used v300. Now person-b has extra cash since both started w/ the same budget. If person-b would use the extra cash to add performance and suspension mod, who would end up having a better car?

Train A would get there first in 3 hours and 42 minutes

Owing a V300, a small tweak to the boost will give 330hp - same as M3.
Weight-wize, the new M3 is around 140Kilo lighter, but the reality is 14.1s quarter mile time for both cars.
