Default Painting L-tuned Side Skirts.

If i decide to keep these should i let a body shop install them or do it myself. I've never done anything like this before so i should leave it for the professionals? It should just be a few snaps to hold the side skirt in place right? Thanks Tony

The hardest part is you may have to remove the rear wheels especially if your car is lowered to remove the last screw, it's a tight fit to get to it, other then that it's easy.

Well the car is not lowered. So i can just drop them off and get them painted and do it myself.

Also what is the color of the side skirts that are on the car now they seem to be off white compared to the rest of the car? Is that a different paint code from the rest of the car?

There is some info here:

I think there was another thread. I'll check in later to see if I can find it. As for painting, if you are dropping them off, make sure the shop color match the paint on your car. If they just paint it the stock color, they won't take fade into account and you will have 2 slightly different colors.

Remove all screws, then just tug down on the old skits. Its a lot quicker than trying to remove the old clips which tend to break. btw, new clips should have come with the package. If not, contact the seller. If the seller does not have them, you can get them at any auto parts store. I've even seen them at home depo in the "nuts and bolts" section.

How do you remove the front and rear screws by the wheel? Do i have to turn my wheels when i take them off? I didn't noticed if they where alan key or not.. I guess i can buy the alan key that have the bend in them in order to get in there to get the screws out....Thanks Tony

Yep...its an alan key. You can buy a set at home depo for about 6-8 bucks. If you have oem 17" wheels, you should be able to get to the screws with no problems.
