Hello,
I know the smart people on this board will be able to figure out how to swap the old nav for the newer wide screen version.
I'm assuming that the wiring to the engine cpu and Nav antena are basicaly the same. The only real diff is the new one has a wider screen with different button placement and the 2 Gig hard drive has been replaced by a DVD player. I assume the this would cost a few thousand but I'd still like to know if this can be done?
Also, my nav hasn't been updated since late 97, does the newer updates have any new looks/features aside from updated street and POI info? The current nav database doesn't show my street which is a small road but the 2001 DVD nav does. I'm wondering if I update my nav it will have more details and smaller streets listed.
Thanks!
Thanks

As far as a database upgrade, you may get some more detail, but don't bank on it. I have the 2000 database on my hard drive system. If ya want me to look up your street, let me know
If ya don't want everyone to know your street, e-mail me at bit_kahuna@yahoo.com.
