Default Tension Rod ?

I went to my mechanic to find out what exctly needs to be fixed on my passenger side since it got pushed back about 1 1/2".....so my mechanic puts my ride on the lift and told me that the lower control arm and the tension rod have been bent back, so these parts need to be replaced ...I called lexus and they dont know what the tension rod is they say it has a different name....any one have a diagram of the set up so that I can see what part I need or website

thanks

Erick

thats the castor arm .. inexpensive but do change both sides .. the bushing on the inside will be torn and stressed so do both for better perf .. i changed mine out late last year to discover the rubber bushings were shredded

You've got a second-gen GS? The photo you posted does not appear to be a GS front suspension - it looks like an SC300/400 front suspension.

On the GS, the fore-aft running arm is more commonly referred to as a "caster arm" or "trailing arm." I have found these to be quite expensive, about $335 each if I recall. The bushings do go bad on these, and my local Lexus parts guy says they so sell them occasionally.

The side-to-side running arms are "control arms."
