i have this annoying little sound in my car...it sounds almost like a cd changing in the changer - kind of like rice crispies - and seems to be coming from behing the dash or behind the radio to the right somewhere...i cant really locate it...it makes the noise whether or not the AC is on or off and sometimes it squeaks and sounds just like a mouse...it is almost always there and i am tired of it...does anybody know what the heck it could be and what is the remedy? i am ready to take it to the dealer but would rather have some knowledge before they charge me a small fortune to fix it..thanks for your help!

I know what you mean, I had this rattling noise coming from my dash, well the good news is its gone, after I had the whole entire dash taken apart to change the a/c evaporator core, so thats the deal you prolly have to live with it.

About $1500-$1800 the whole dash has to come out of the car and about 8-9 hours of labor plus the part

Beau it sounds like your cirvo's (left or right)is going bad and making almost like a light growling sound.The noise is on and off, sometimes you go for a day not hearing it and sometimes its all day. You probably hear it more when you start the car and drive especially with the ac on. I know this because I just recently had the dealer replace both on my GS 300. The irritating noise drove me nuts for days. If your car is still under warranty it should be covered.

I hear it too, and that's only because my car is lowered so the ride is alittle stiffer which relates to more vibrations inside the car, and the HKS exhuast doesn't help much either. When taking off the exhuast puts out alittle growl that vibrates the dash alittle bit. That's what i know so far, but it's not to bad once the car has a chance to warm up then it goes away.
