My ECU actually have a faulty TPS code stored in memory but was not throwing a CEL. The only indication that something war awry was the VSC and traction light came on periodically. I took it in and read the codes, sure enough I had a faulty TPS sensor. I changed it out, all dummy lights went away and the pings is all but gone now.
