Unhappy Noise when i press the gas :(

i have noticed for the past few days when i press my gas pedaql my car makes a rattling watery type noise. it almost sounds like hoe the car would sound with the ac on....BUT he AC is off and everytime i press the gas i hear it and i am pissed!! Sounds like its coming from my muffler or exhaust what eva u call it!

I went through MCdonalds drive through and the dud that checked me out was like "nice car" So i was all souped and drove off then as i pressed the gas this dumb creaking/rattling noise was heard i was so embarrised.

Imma have it checked out tomorrow but for now i need some input!!
Thanks

~Kia

What you need to find out is where exactly the sound is coming from, either from the engine area or the rear.

Yeah,

If it is a rattling then it more than likely is the heatshield. Either it can rust a little or else sometimes something can get stuck on the heatshield and bounce up and down with the car vibrations.

I had some horrible luck with my heatshield on my Legend - turned out a rock was stuck in there and the heatshield was like a damn trampoline!!

Good Luck,
Jonny

(I am mostly lurking here, but having had the exact same problem, i could not resist to post my suggestion.)

Most likely you got some air in your coolant lines. Hence you should just top off your coolant level, or in worst case scenario flush the system and then refill at a body shop, that should solve the problem. Hope this helps. take care now.

that was a good one... really

but seriously though, i am almost positive that low coolant level is the culprit....

I also have to agree with our Russian friend. I tried searching for this as I am pretty sure there is another thread out there indicating the same thing.

Here's a link when I put in "coolant low" in the search. Try these 2:
