That's a lot of water! that's a very bad accident! glad u ok. I have a feeling that your tires had something to do with it. I too had Brigestone SO3's on my car when had my accident. I made a turn at about a 120 degree angle... not that bad... the road was dry going about 30 and lost control of my car. I'm never buying brigestones again. the yokos i have on now are much more grippy than these tires! Even the pilot sports I had on were more grippy! well.. good luck. hope all ends out great.

Holy shiznit!!! I cant believe how f'd up that car is from a low speed crash....glad to hear you walked away from it.

By the way, I used to have an 01 BMW 540I....I got hit at a dead stop by a car going about 60mph....it smashed the rear of the car in past the passenger doors.....the air bags DID NOT go off!!

i cant even find another CPO GS430 listed in black/black. thinking of a CPO 01' LS430 in black/black ( i found 1 listed) or a brand spanking new G35 sedan ? the G35 is a pretty good bang for the buck. does mid 14's in the quarter.and its under 35k fully loaded. i got my GS last oct for 32k. it had 30,ooo miles and its interior was mint, and it was a CPO. last owner was an old man,
seriously, find yourself an attorney. That is a lot of friggin water on the road, in the pictures and that shouldn't be. Make sure you did not have enough chances to see the water and react in time.

Thats because airbags only go off if the car is moving! Nomatter how hard you get hit in a stopped car, they do not og off. A lot of times your car has to be going over 25-30mph to even make them activate.

Also note, he got hit from the REAR!! Airbags do not deploy unless the FRONT of the car is displaced a predetermined minimum amount and the car is moving above a certain speed. All safety systems are monitored and controlled by computer system. If even one of the necessary criteria were not met then the airbags would not deploy. From the pics the newly paved surface of the road appears to be asphalt. That could have resulted in a high content of surface oil. Mixed with flooding conditons from excess watering would have created a highly slippery surface and seems likely to have resulted in hazardous conditions that could not reasonably have been anticipated. In legal terms, you may very well have what is known as "a cause of action" A good attorney should be able to tell you if you have a winnable case. As far as looking for a new CPO Lexus, go onto the factory web site, www.lexus.com and do a search. You can specify your search parameters and distance from your home location. It will provide you with details of every CPO Lexus in inventory that meets your search criteria complete with location, price, mileage, and pictures. Stay safe.

is it even a good idea to sue? would it be worth my trouble to persue such a cause? i am just thankfull that i walked away. but i do feel like some one should be held accountable.
the insurance company is going to make me an offer for my car, is there anything i should know about before negotiating a price. like what would be best to get maxium amount of money for my car and parts, i have all the reciepts and money order reciepts for all the parts i bought. any suggestions on how to get them to pay well. i had my car for less then a year.

This isn't about your insurance company, the accident wasn't their fault. But the CITY may be at fault for spraying so much water on the roads. Granted most lawyers probably wouldn't want to sue a city, but it wouldn't cost you anything to at least talk to one.

But I am still wondering how you got into a spin. Did you jerk the wheel or something as you went around the turn?
