Default i messed up my baby

driving along a 2 way road divided by a median with raised bed of grass and trees that line the whole roadway, it a newly paved road that stretchs for like a mile along the commuter rail.. i am driving along at 40mph and i come around a turn and all i see are the sprinklers are on watering the grass and the road from both sides, the car gets squirrelly and the next thing i knew i am side ways , jump curb with the front end,and bam! i hit the light pole with my rear drivers side and then the car slides(swings )around to the passenger side and flipps

luky that my girlfriend and i had seat belts on! or it would have been nasty. when we stopped we were both still strapped in upside down,,the cabin pretty much kept intact, non of the airbags went off,not even side curtain bags , WTF! got out only with a scrapped elbow similiar to falling of a bike as a kid, prob because i scrapped it on the ground when it slid on its roof, my GF has a 4 inch bruise on her right arm from the seat belt strap, thats a sign that she prob would have been ejected.. i wasnt even going that fast, but the water really did me in!
no one at the scene could believe we walked away from that accident. got to thank seat belts, and always put them on before u shift in to drive, because this accident happened only with in 5 minutes of getting in to the car, and the accident happened with in 2 miles of the house,,,

From looking at the pics, I'm glad to see you are OK. I am very surprised that the GS behaved that badly.

Holly crap, were you doing 40 while turning? that would make for very little traction considering the cars weight and your tiers. Glad to hear that you and your gf are ok.

Wow, that looks scary. So glad you are OK. And glad you had seatbelt on, you must have or you would have been pretty messed up.

Just curious, what kind of tires are on that GS? 40 mph is not that fast...unless the turn was a hairpin turn, it seems that the car shouldn't have slid all over the place. But wierd sh@#! happens. Looking at the picture, the turn can be seen in the background, I think...and it doesn't look too sharp.

With the roof caved in like that, dont even try to fix it. Take the money and buy a new one. The whole structure is weakened now, not worth saving such a damaged shell.

Actually, looking at the up close pictures again (eyes wide open with astonishment of the damage at 40 mph ), that baby is totaled. No way the insurance company is fixin' that one.

Start looking for your new GS now...

There just might be a silver lining to all of this, a new and improved GS

HOLY Cow I'm glad to see you're okay, the good thing is that you were able to walk away from the accidnet. I do feel your pain, I got into a nasty one in the rain about .5 maile away from the house as well. We gotta talk to the guy that keeps putting poles next to the street

I am glad to hear the you and your girlfried walked away from this. The simple act of putting on your seatbelt saved both of you not only from serious injury, but probably your lives.

You'll come back bigger and stronger after this.

Did you lose traction at the front wheels?

Glad everyone is OK.

Ouch, very glad to hear you and your girlfriend are OK. Make sure to get checked out thoroughly - some back and internal problems don't show up right away.
