I've got to say I'm pretty excited. Yesterday I ordered the new OEM 18inch rims off the 2006 GS 430.
I also did a tire/wheel package. If I hadn't been out of town on vacation in Delaware for the past week, I would have solicited some information for tires to get....but here's what I ordered.
Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 245/40/18
tirerack ranked them #2 for Ultra High Perf. Tires. I do a lot of traveling so I'm hoping to get some mileage out of them....25-30K would be great. Is that possible on the size of tires? I've never had anything other than factory 16's and the widest tire has only been 225s

Very cool, got the same tires for my 18s for the LS (went on at Hendrick today, picking up in the AM)
Despite being M&S, these are still sticky speed rated. I'm hoping for 17 - 20K out of them with rotation (since they aren't staggered)

I've seen some members recently have these 3rd gen 18" wheels on 2nd gen GS. Nice look.
Any pics out there with an L-tuned suspension? Also, do you go through the Lexus dealer for these wheels? Cost?

here's mine with a photoshop drop courtesy of NEO. I think they match the 2nd gen very well.

they are from Sewell Lexus, Darrel Diller. ddiller@sewell.com tell him Charlie sent you .
They are $200 each, but he may not have anymore yet.
I cant tell you for sure, but there is a huge amount of space for massive brakes on 06 GS430, your brakes should fit.

I followed Chuck's lead on the rims.

I paid total of $1510 with shipping for:
4 MOUNTED AND BALANCED 2006 OEM GS 430 rims with Pirelli PZero Nero 245/40/18.
stainless steel stems? and caps. I requested the last 2 and he said he had extras he could do that for me.
I will try and post pics as soon as I get them...it could be this weekend or next. My car is not lowered so pics will be with stock look. I hope I'll be satisfied with that as I don't want to invest any more money into the car right now.
