I dont think it would look too good. You should put a thread in the photoshop forum and then a side pic of your GS and request someone to do a PS. I know Seize does a lot of great PS for people so then you could see what it will look like. Also take off the caps it looks like you are screaming

yo, man, if you really want to do it then do it. it's your car. i WOULD suggest asking
for a ps beforehand though so you at least you have a good guesstimate as to what the
finished product would look like. good luck whatever you do.

I agree, don't let people discourage you without getting a looksee. That's what's so great about technology. Ask for the photoshop, what harm can it do. Two-tone gives that custom look. Unmistakeably custom if yours is the only one with the scheme you choose. If you make the second color only slightly darker than the 1st, no way that will look bad. SIlver to gun metal might be too extreme of a contrast. Maybe try silver then a little darker silver. It would still set off your gunmetal rims. Bottom line, you gave up real quick because of some strong replies by a few people. You either didn't really want it or you follow others too easily. It's your car, do what you like. Remember, modding is an individual thing. The chance to do your thing. You could always change back if you don't like it.

If you want to see what the color combo would look like, do a search on Autotrader for an 00 or 01 ES300 in millennium silver. The 97-01 were basically 2-tone because the lower plastic panel was a different color. I believe the ES300 in millennium silver came with a gunmetal gray bottom. Let me do a quick search. Here -- scan through these (you may have to cut and paste the entire link into your browser):
