I don't want to have to get a radio thing because those things never seem to transfer the entire spectrum. I'd really like to have my MP3 player hardwired, is there any way to do this?

i'm personally waiting for someone to come out with a 2-din nav + bluetooth for the phone....

I would try out the vaistech and spend that cash.

I wanted to do the samething, but I didn't want to spend that type of money. I researched and couldn't find anything on hard wiring the system. I ended up buying a alpine hu, ipod modulator, and 6 channel amp. I had the factory pioneer system so it was worth it for me to change it out. However, you have a navi built in, therefore the easiet way to integrate it is with the vaistech kit.
