Default My $37 Wal Mart Lighting mod for GS(Sylvania Silverstars)

I was tired of looking at the brown stains on my drls/highbeams. I did a little searching and found the 9005ST Sylvania Silverstars were highly recomended. Then I happened to find a pair at good ole Walmart so I figured why not, $37. anyway, here are pics. they actualy are more noticable in the pics than I thought they'd be.

the Silverstar is in the driver's side and stock is in passenger for comparison. crappy pics, but you get the color/brightness idea.

drls

highbeams

I can see that the driver side headlights are brighter! Sylvanias are great bulbs!

The drivers side is brighter. I have the silverstars in my low beams temporarily and havent seen much difference between them and stock.

Thumbs up

Looks good chuck

Speaking of sprawl-mart (Simpsons fan should know ), I saw red arrow turn signals for about $8 I'm going to get it for my GX. Hopefully won't look too cheesy.

Can you take the pics again with a tripod or put the camera on something so that it's still?

I paid $40 for a pair from Autozone. I'd go get some from Walmart, and refund the autozone ones. Good thing I just got them yesterday, and they are still sitting on the passenger seat.

In the second pic they look the same - in the first pic, the passenger side one looks brighter(unless you're in England).

you think the stock is brighter? it's not at all drastic, but the Silverstar is definately whiter and closer in color to the stock HIDs. I think the glare in the first pic off the stock bulb is worse, maybe making you think it's brighter.

You're probably right - i figured the brighter light would glare worse in the pic - it certainly seems brighter to me.
