Thanks to the gearing. I think the GS4, and LS4 are pretty similar at the speed. Except the LS4 has 3.27's.

gs400, with stock gearing, about 2700 to 2800 rpm at 80mph
gs400, with 3.76 gearing, about 3000 rpm at 80mph

gs300 i *think* the rpm is a tad higher

Default Just rechecked this morning

At 80 mph, my rpm's were a hair above 2,600 (not 2,700 like I said above). The rpm needle was still on the hash mark, but it was more to one side than the other. I would have to think that there are some variables that figure into this number (wheel size, head wind, road incline, etc.).

I believe I used to be at 2650 at 80 (GS400). Now with 3.76 gearing I'm at 3000.

3000 rpm at 80 mph speedo reading. Of course this is the speedo reading, but I'm really going 83-84 mph because of my 20 inch wheel/tire combo being approximately 5% larger in diameter than the stock wheel diameter. Oh, I also have the TT Torsen LSD 3.76 rear end. Before the 3.76 I was doing 2650 rpm at speedo reading of 80 mph.
