Default Took the Cow on the track tonight...lol..(56k safe cuz we have no pics)

We took the Cow to the track tonight for some fun at moroso speedway. We wanted to get some 1/4 times before we turn her into a little bunny rabbit. ok, jokes aside the car is going in tomorrow morning for the new project and i just wanted some before and after times to see what kind of jump it makes after and with eveything thats on my car. i'm no track person and don't care for times and i wasn't taking my wheels off or anything so i just ran it with the way it normally sits 20's all. did ok considering i guess. sorry no pics. my wife did a vid but i have no idea how to load that, never done it before with a vid cam. all in all i had fun, my buddy John ran his SC'd is3 and man that thing moved very nice and the sound from the SC is amazeing, got me all excited just hearing it on the video..

1st run

r/t.............. 0.887
60'.............2.470
330...........7035
1/8............10.768
mph..........65.94
1000.........13.953
1/4.............16.611
mph...........85.29

2nd run

R/T.............0.338
60'..............2.494
330.............7.045
1/8..............10.774
mph............66.04
1000...........13.953
1/4...............16.613

A - that's not too bad considering the wheels and all that extra weight from the ICE you've got

Man you FINALLY made it to the track! What was your rear tire pressure set at, also what the temp and approximate humidity? These things affect performance more than you know.

I didn't think it was that bad either considering the wheels and all the weight added from other things. It was for fun and man it really was fun. it was also a rush that was unexpected since i never really cared for it but like some say and my brother told me last night don't knock it till you tried it and now i'm eating crow. To tell you how much of a newb I am I went in shorts thinking its hot why were pants and than they make me go home and get pants cuz you have to wear pants to run your car...lol good thing I live 15min from the track.

E- i have no idea what my tires were set at.. the temp was so hot and muggy like 87 but it felt hotter. its funny i had a way better reaction time from the 1st run but yet the car did a slower 1/4 by .002 i went from .887 to .338

Hey Adrian,

It sure sounds like it was a lot of fun!

I have no idea what those numbers mean (the ones you posted in your first post), but I would love to take my car to the track some day. Just haven't found the time or motivation yet............

Reaction time is not accounted for. You could have sat at the light for 2 minutes after the light went green and still ran a 16.6. Time starts as soon as you trip the beam at the starting line.

Did you brake stand it to get the RPM's up before you left at the line?

your right, my brother told me the same thing as far as reaction meaning nothing on your 1/4 time, I didn't know . on the 2nd run i held the brake and reved up the rpms alittle but was gun shy.

Hameed- ya man i have to say even tho i topped out at only 85mph it was a lot of fun and a real rush to go down the track.

J- ya it was cool man, hopefully a tad bit better next time..
