I am getting more and more interested in Carbon Fiber Hoods. I was wondering if there is anyone here with one and has pics? Are there any fitment issues with it?

ive read that the little hood shock needs to be reinstalled further towards the front of the car to avoid the shock warping the hood out of shape since the cf hood weighs considerably less then the stock one.

 

i also remember reading something about the hole for the washers, don't remember what but some had issues, i think it was pandags430...CF looks great on silver but once you go that route stay with a racey look, example CF and chrome wheels don't go well imo. so make sure that what you want to do..good luck man.

PandaGS430 and Jay both have CF hoods. One other silver lex has them also. A search will show them.

 

I have a Vis Carbon Fiber hood on mine.. Some of the CF hood out there takes minor mods. The nozzle hole sometimes take a little drilling. Main thing is you won't be able to use the hood struts. tein makes aftermarket hood struts for lighter hoods.

 

Check with Steve at Carson when you are going to purchase one. I believe he has a few HKS Carbon Fiber hoods coming in. Pic is on their website.
