Default GS Hood Latch Question

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone had a problem with their Hood Latch.
I have a 2000 GS3 and it's becoming difficult to close my hood.
My friend looked it over and said I need a new latch.

Anyone know where to find one?

Thanks in advance

try putting a little lube on the latch, oil or graphite. It may be sticking

64.00 part from the dealer. 94.00 labor charge.

My symptoms were:

1. I had problems closing the hood.
2. The cable latch action/motion under the steering wheel felt weird.
3. The cable end finally came loose.

Scarrrry feeling when my hood "popped up" just slightly on the highway.....

so I got Peace of Mind by just having the dealership take care of it.

Thanks for the help guys!
Well I guess this is a small problem compared to what a Mercedes goes through.
