Here's mine. I think the official color is Dark Mountain Cherry, as quoted by Lexus. Black cherry is the street name.
For sure, I was a little skeptical about the color at first. I thought it looked a little too feminine for my tastes, akin to fingernail polish.
But, everyone loves it. Guys and gals of all ages (16-60) make a point to comment when my car is shining and clean. i.e. Saturday night, I came out of the supermarket only to find three older women (in their 60's) standing in front of my car and pointing and admiring. (Sidenote: my girl wanted some ice cream, so we stopped to get some damn Breyers...at MIDNIGHT) My girl and I saw them when we came out and paused...and just watched them looking at the car and then slowly walking around the car. We giggled.
We walked up, and they said, "Is this your car?", eyes all bugged out. I shook my head yes. One blurted out quickly, "Nice car. Who painted it for you?" I said, "Lexus, right from the factory." She initially thought I was lying. And admittedly, my paint is pretty beat up, since it came off a lease in NYC. But it looks good at night.
I have grown to love it.
