In my case (updating a 3rd gen nav), DVD p/n 86271-33040 should be 86271-33032. It's obviously not enough to get just a ver 3.1 DVD. Back to eBay for me, which seems to have a few of them for ~$150/ea versus twice that much from the dealer.
I still don't understand what a ver 4.x DVD is and why a 3.1 DVD can be both a 3rd gen and 4th gen update?! Maybe this is Lexus' way of maintaining control and high(er) prices!
