Question

I hate to screw up my 2000 GS300, but it seems to be lacking mudflaps. It throws up dirt on the sides and rear quarters. Are there any decent looking mudflaps available ? Thanks

I have been asking about mud flaps (also know as mud guards, splash guards, etc) ever since I got my GS!

But no one seems to have any, I asked Steve, he didn't have any. I guess you can just put "one-size-fits-all" standard ones from AutoZone or something, but I don't want those, I want something that are specifically designed for the GS, and color-coded ones if possible.

My GS is soooo clean all the time, but every time I take it out on the road and then come back, right behind the tires the body is dirty (only a little bit but it shows up if everything else is sparkling). And then I have to quickly wash out all the dirt and then dry it up too !!!

Help me !

I've been pondering this one for awhile myself.. My sister has a 99 Mamima SE with the color coded mud flaps that came with her car.. They look ok, not sure how mud flaps would look on a GS but I am pretty sure you can use these mud flaps (Maybe some DYI cutting might be involved) and get them painted to suit the GS..

Just an idea I thought I would throw out in case anyone wanted to try..

Use the 99 Maxima's mud flaps? Or just any mudflaps and cut around, which car is the most similar to the GS around that area? does anyone know?

Thumbs down

It does **** me off when I just finish cleaning/waxing my lex and drive around a little bit just to see the place right behind the tire is dirty as hell.

That's my idea.. Use the Maxima's mud flaps since its a painted design and not just a rubber mud flap.. By eyeballing it I think its similar in the area.. Maybe tomorrow I will head over to my sister's and take off one to check for fit on the GS..

I'll post my results tomorrow..
