as i said before i took over a lease and got 98 gs400 with 29k...THis is what bothers me

My car is on park and the engine starts roaring out of no where then it stops then starts again etc. WTF is that all about..People tell me it's ok it's ok...that s#%@ really irratates me.

Also i went to a local lexus dealer here in brooklyn and asked if i can get an extened b2b warranty after my six months run out..He said no because the car wasn't bought from a lexus dealer...and that means that after these six months i'm pretty much f***ed.

S,

for the extended warranty, call other dealers, or check out the internet such as edmunds.com, autotrader.com, sites like these all have good extended warranty that you can purchase. hint: get the one that covers the entire car, especially the CD an stereo. because some policies do not. ask them to send you a copy of policies and compare them before you sign up.

try aftermarket warranty,
I have warrantygold.com on my Maxima, and had claimed 4 repairs on this policy. I am very satisfy with them and would buy their warranty service again when my gs factory warranty about to go out

When you say "roar", are you talking about the cooling fan(s) turn on and NOISE is loud or the the engine "races" and RPM shoots up to say 2000rpm?

If it is the fan then it is normal for it to kick-in and once the temp drops to kick-out. Fans are noisy but in an open sapce and inside the car the nosie is minimal.

Don't assume that what your dealer told you is true (a dealer lying?? Can't imagine it ). I'd call around and check with some other dealers or call Lexus Customer Service. From what I've been told as long as your car is still within a couple of months of the expiration of the original warranty you are eligible for the extended.

Even if Lexus won't do it the independant route is viable.

Check with your dealers, most dealer will accept aftermartket warranty.

warrantygold that I use, i can go anywhere, dealer or non dealer, they pay by credit card, so as long as the shop take credit card, then they can pay them

Default warrenty

call Lexus customer service, I am pretty sure you still buy it through lexus as long as your factory warrenty is still in place..

other than that Warrenty gold is also good....
