Who has an IPOD in their GS?
Guys,
How did you do it? Would prefer not to have to use the tape or FM modulate it. I heard that there is something you can tap into in the back of the stock stereo??
Mods please keep it here as the audio forum is dead.
Thx,
Jonny

Hello,
Here is my Ipod connection. My head unit had a extra input. You can see how I ran my cable. When I need both cup holders, I put the ipod away, throw the ipod cup holder in the back seat, tuck the cable on the side of my police siren, and I am done..

I was hoping that there was a way to get it to work with the stock HU too. I wonder if there is a way to splice it into the input from the cd changer? What about adding XM or Sirius. I've seen some pics of very clean installations in the ash tray for the control panel.
Thanks,
bd

alpine and monster has a unit where u can plug it in but i have not done any research on it, but it is very expensive to get that, costco has a unit that costs 99 bucks but you need to have a alpine unit to get it to work the right way, so if there is an alternative way , im up for it too. but th only wayi came up with is
cass adapter
and fm modulator
so if there is a direct wire option please let me know, does th NAKAMICI have a plug in

Fm transmitters are junk. If you want sound quality, dont even bother with the FM. I think the Tape adapter works better than the FM Transmitter.
What's your factory HU? NAV?
There's this company that sells a wiring harness for the GS Nav. I forgot what it was called though.

I believe it was this one.

but there may also be a company out there that is making it for the Lexus with Nav.

Hello,

$609.00. That is to much. Might as well spend a little more and get a nice aftermarket stero.

the price is not bad for people who wants to retain their stock NAV.
If I had a stock NAV, I sure wouldnt want to remove it for an aftermarket din.
It'll cost you alot if you get rid of the factory Nav since you will then need to purchase a AC/ Heater control unit to go with new system
