Default What's wrong with this picture? Anything?

Hi all

I'm considering purchasing this car but I'm wondering if there something wrong with this picture or is the hood just not closed? The autocheck shows no wrecks/damage but something doesn't look right here. What do you think?

The hood is off a bit. Are there any side profile pics that show the hood? it is very hard to tell if the hood is open or if the gap is that bad. Maybe the owner was taking pics of the engine bay and didnt fully close the hood and took that pic If you can I would definately ask what is up with the hood and for more pics

I have asked for additional pictures and I'll certainly ask about the hood once I hear from the pros here. I'm no expert when it comes to identifying body damage/work but I know there are a few on this great site who are. Here's one additional picture. I'll provide more tomorrow once I get them. Thanks for your help.

That looks like one of those on the side of the road dealers where they have like 4 cars by the road 0I would think twice about purchasing that.. Its your choice but something does not look right? Just because its a clean carfax doesn't mean its true.... Good Luck with the search

I was told on another board that it could very well be that the hood was unlatched. I'll talk to the seller tomorrow and discuss this with him. Do you think It could just be unlatched? Either way I'll find out. Thanks to each of you who responded. You've been very very helpful.

Great site!!

That very well could be it. I know when I have my hood open and dont shut it all the way to where it will latch it looks just like that.

IF the hood is original, it should have the original vin # sticker on it, along with the fenders if they were replaced.
Unless they just patched up the dents on the fender.

I think it is popped since the space between the hood and bumper is pretty even. NO stupid bodyshop will do a work like that!

Why don't you ask the owner to take another picture with the hood closed. Where is the car at? Someone here might be able to pay a visit....
