Poll: JP or LM taillights
Man, I can't decide which to get.
JP - is OEM, high quality, but big price tag. The GB helps, but that ends end of August.
LM - quality (unknown), price is a lot lower, LEDs. 3-4 months wait time to find out quality.

I'm sorry but to me its like saying "Which do I buy?"
The Explosion Kit
or the Explsion "style" kit
Real explosion from Japan is $2k
Explosion style from Ebay or procarparts.com $600.00-$800.00
More than half the cost. Yet whenever someone would comment on if they should buy the style kit I always read people say "go with the real deal" or "Save for the real one" I honestly feel that if there is no fitment isssues or condensation issues than its a nice alternative but I would like to see what those who knock explosion style or vetex style kits say about JP style lights.
I voted JP by the way.

I was just thinking about the JP rear tails today. I like them better than the 01+ tails...wish the gb had a bigger discount. Pockets aren't that deep when ones divorced with children...cheaper to stay married.

BlueLex - Good point with the body kit decisions with fake and real however the taillights that we are going to offer will not have any fitment issues nor would I entirely say they are "fake". However there are people on the boards that have purchased real body kits and have still experienced fitment issues, even after paying top dollar. The outter part of our product is OEM style and the only thing that is pretty much modified is the back-end part. We have not seen the finished product so we can't say how they look in person etc. I personally do not put "mickey-mouse" mods on both my cars, and tend to choose the more expensive/real deal items but I have a feeling that when these are released the feedback will be positive, and I am definitely slapping these bad boys on

Trust me I wish nothing less than these lights being good quality so that people can really enjoy the clean look of red on white taillights. I don't knock people when they buy "style" kits or "style wheels" , (I don't like to use the word fake). If its good quality for less than thats all that matters. Keep in mind tho that fitment issues don't usually happen with the demo model. Its when they go into mass production that it happens since these are not oem but molded plastic it can happen with these where as with JP's it will never happen. I wish you guys luck nonetheless. I do like the led option. I've thought abput doing that to mine.

Bluelex - Thanks for your feedback. With body kits though, each body kit is hand laid etc. I am sure that we have seen (nothing against hondas) civics with body kits hanging out everywhere, but can we say that we have seen an altezza style taillight popping out and not fitting correctly on a civic? With our taillights coming into production there is one main machine with the exact specs of the OEM taillights that creates the number of lights the same exact way as the first prototype. So you can rest assure that EACH taillights is identical to the ones before it and after it

Authenticity counts...the choice is pretty obvious.

well, for the budget minded....i gotta go with LM cuz its only like 30% of the cost of JP...then, if you dont like the LM style lights, i'm sure someone will buy them here on CL. then you can buy the JP lights! either way, both are awesome.

so i guess these Kazz will be the JP "style" tail light for you, bluelex?
I had imported the vertex kit from japan for my SC300 and yet spent tons of money to install them because of the fitment issue. On the other hand, I saw Cong's Explosion "style" kit fit like a charm so I wonder where I should spend my money on? So, I agree with Kirby on the body kit side. I think I will reserve my opinion until the LM taillight is released. Maybe I am just too poor to have those JP. But even if I am making tons of money, I just can't justified myself for 1350 on a set of tail light.....
