Default Nice Job Boys

Alright, now I'm mad.......I woke up this morning to find my passenger side headlight half removed from my car. Some nice person must have wanted my HID's. A couple of screw driver marks around the bumper and fender, two broken bolts on the head light washer pump, but that seems to be it.....

Just in case you are wondering how they popped the hood, thats why I'm mad, I changed the oil yesterday and forgot to lock the hood, it was only latched in place.

Maybe this would be a good time to mod the headlights.

Go figure anyone would try to steal headlights. Worst (Or possibly Best) part is I also left the doors unlocked, and they didn't touch a thing, which is remarkable consider I have the Kenwood DDX7017 installed and a bunch of DVD's in the back.....Ahhh well, just finished searching for headlight removal/install and am out to put the thing back together.

With the retrofits being so popular these days HID items are very much in demand. Sorry to hear this happen to your car.

I live just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (I'm pretty sure I wouldn't leave my car unlocked anywhere else). I think the biggest crime we had last year was someone stole a garden gnome....

I just got the headlight back in and here's the poop:

Broken bracket on the headlight, nearest the center of the car, fog light brackets are both snapped off, plastic skid pad has every screw hole wrecked, paint not too bad around headlight, with the exception of the bumper, and headlight washer pump bolts snapped off.

Here is the biggest problem, after getting everything back together, there is now a light on my dash. Its the headlight aiming light. Anyone have any suggestions ? I have tripple checked the connectors and they are all on and reseated a few times.....The headlights do go up and down (when first turned on) just like normal.

Thanks

that sucks....maybe your insurance would cover it. If they give you a check,(each light alone is $1200) you can find a deal and come out with extra cash. there was a member recently selling 2 brand new oem HIDs for $950.
