Side mirrors moving down in reverse
Do any of the 2001 GS 430 side mirrors move down when you put the car in reverse? I just got the car two months ago. I was surpised they did not. My 2000 LS400 did. Is this a option for the 2001 GS430?

The mirrors do not move on my 01 430 when I put it in reverse unless I hit the buttom to move them down. I do not think it was an option on the 01. Don't know about the 02 to 05's

Problem is, and all the 98LS owners have the same problem, the mirror does not go back to exactly where it was before reverse was engaged. It always goes a little higher then usual, and then I would have to re-adjust it. I have had this feature off for the past 8 months and totally forgot about it
I tried outsmarting it by setting it lower then usual so it would even out, but that didn’t work either
So I wouldnt get my hopes up about a swap, unless they fixed this issue in the 99's+

I don't have a GS yet but how about using the other seat setttings as the "reverse park" where the mirors are already in a dipped position.

Automated would be nice.

This topic has been discussed before in regards to the GS. I wish we had it, because it would have saved me from rashing my wheels twice and make parking a whole lot easier. I'm really surprised that they have it available on the 98 and 99 LS but not on the later years.

My 2000 LS always went back to the correct position.
