Default CD Changer is wet!! And stopped working!!

Guys,
I love Lexus but having few problems with it now. My CD changer is not working today. It was working then just got stock on the song. I turned of the Radio, now I can't make it play when I click on Disk on HU. The button on the CD changer is not lit. And the CD Magazine is not coming out. Looks like I got no power to it. Is there a fuse or something for the CD Changer. If there is, where is it exactly and is it labeled? Also about 3 weeks ago when I was driving to FL from NY. I had AC on all for 10 hours and it also rained for 3 hours, hard. I had same thing happen. But i was able to edject the CD Magazine, and it was wet!!!, I stock my hand inside the changer and it was wet on the bottom. Anyone had same problem? What do I do with the player?

Default i'm not sure how to fix that but...

i'll sell you my changer for $150 shipped. not too much usage on it since the previous owner of the car was a big NPR fan and when I bought the car I swapped out the head unit.

Hope you find the cause of the problem. Perhaps condensation from the AC unit?

IMO Don't waste your money replacing it until you figure out why it got wet in the first place. You'll replace it, get caught in a storm and have to buy another.

Hey man, we spoke before about your beautiful trunk set up, how is it going? I moved to Daytona Beach shores to do Real Estate and now need to find a good mechanic to work on my car, any idea why CD Changer got wet, would you think it is condensation from AC running all day or from rain? I read somewhere on forum that the AC drain could be cloged?! Is there a fuse for CD player, NOw it looks like it is not getting any power and it happened today right after it rained hard for a little bit, but I can't check if CD Changer is wet because I can't take the CD Mag out?

i had a problem just like you there was condensation in my changer i didnt know what happened but i figured it had something to do with the cabin air filter since it was right under it i just let it dry out an checked the filter which was clogged up with leaves and REALLY dirty and no more problems after that

I'll bet that filter is drenched if it's leaking in there somehow. I'd pull that right away and check. sounds like something is definately not right. maybe a leak that has to do with your inlet vents near the outside of windshield.

sounds like a good candidate for a goodwill repair. that type of stuff shouldn't happen.

replaced filter today, it was dirty with leaves, but my CD changer still not working, I found no fuse for it in the fuse box on the bottom driver side next to pedals, is there a fuse for CD player? CD player is just dead, no power, nothing?? Any ideas, before I get new CD player, maybe it fried it, when it was wet.. is it a known problem with these CD changers?

my CD changer still does not work, I am going to shop tomorrow to change out my infinity comps for the CDT EF comps, and tell them to check my rear door lock problem, i think when the NJ shop installed my sound sys they either damaged the actuators or the cable needs to be readjusted, will see, my rear doors do not lock, but unluck and feel very stiff when you try to luck them manually, i had a thread about this problem already, but I want to have some suggestions as far as what to tell them to check with my CD changer, so it would not get wet again and damage the new CD changer if I would need to get the new one and this one is burned out or else? i am not that happy with that at all, that it got wet and now it just stopped working, and I am not sure that water or condensation from A/C had to do with that, that I found a month ago in it or it just died by itself..??!!!

guys.. i took my car to local car sound installer, they said my CD changer is dead.. I told him a bout water I found on the bottom of the cd magazine, they said they did not find any water or anything when they took out the cd changer, and the AC drain is good, water drips underneath the car well.. So it had to be AC condensation, I need a stock CD changer now..

I'd still try for the goodwill repair. it can't hurt to try. tell them it never should have been wet in the first place, etc....

do you have a good relationship with your Lexus service writer?
