stock gs4-430 is 300 hp at he crank but by the time it gets to the rear wheels its about 235 rwhp, so we count that as real power not what it makes in engine but what it pushes to the ground.

so Rick is saying 320 rwhp, thats a nice jump from 235rwhp about 85 rwhp gain and about 385 total at the crank.
Actually, assuming a 20% tranny loss (which gives us 240rwhp for the GS4 with 300hp), Rick dynoing at 319.8rwhp gives him 399.75 hp at the crank. Trying to get your numbers "up", Rick.

Neo is right. To get an additional 80 hp or so at the rear wheels means not just an additonal 80 hp at the crank but more like an additional 100 hp when you factor in the losses through the torque converter, transmission and differential.

ya ya ya, I was off at the crank by a little. but still an extra 80 rwhp is a nice jump but when you factor all the weight that was added to car with music and wheels the car probably feels like a little less.

Was it real hot and Muggy the day you dyno'd?

Default my iDEAS

tuner could make a difference.
Intercooler could need upgraded
duel fuel pumps
larger injectors
downsize your pulley
Dyno types make a difference as well.
Considering no internal mods, its not that bad of a performnace jump, but then again is it worth
the money. If I had a s/c on my gs I would rip it often. Go with a 50hp shot on nitrous. It would equal to about 35-38 rwhp.

B's got it nailed.

Smaller pulley
Larger injectors / high volume fuel pump
Better tuning / better tuner

I orignally dynod mine at about 360 hp after SRT tuning. I've been able to get up to 375 (I think I did 380 in a later session but can't find the sheet online right at the moment) with some minor tweaks (and more importantly a cooler day).

Im thinking just like the others, better injectors and pump. you might want to upgrade the fuel lines under the hood to steel braided and solid fixtures. Also, not knocking your current tuner, but you might want to go to another tuner and see what kind of numbers you can generate.

If you were to add nitrous, you may want to consider just getting the NX Ntercooler spray kit to chill the Intercooler (or aftercooler as some call it). If you just want it for show, youll have the trunk set up and be able to drop the charge temp giving you some hidden hp.

Im surprised more people arent suggesting a water injection set up.
Aquamist sells a universal kit for around 800-900 and lowers intake temp by at least 50 degrees. You can even put ice cubes in the water!!!!

the reason i dont really think it was the tuner is becuase of 2 things
1. when kyle3481 had this on his 430 he got the same number at x engineering,
2. when first put on dyno i was gettin only 276.4 after tuning we got to 319...

i was thinking of the n tercooler NOS kit .... mainly for shows and i like that look,
thanks for the help guys... i have been runnoign these ideas back and forth
