It's not a bad price, but try to talk them down a little bit, make sure it has not been in an accident. I was selling a 99 GS400 with 97K on it on my lot and I got 14,5 for it within 2 days. That was a cheap price, that is why it sold so quickly. Make sure the car is in really good shape, 120K on it is nothing for these cars, but you also have to look at resale, if you will sell it within the next year or two, make sure you don't lose too much $$

Does the GS have Nav, HID lights, Nak soundsystem or is it pretty much stock. 120,000 miles may not be that many miles for a reliable car like the GS but it is still alot of miles on a used car so if it is stock with no extras I would say 13 out the door if it is at a used car dealership and around 12.5 if it is a private sale. If it has Nav, HID, and Nak then 13.5-14K out the door or 13 from a private sale sounds reasonable. I would not pay over 14 for that kind of mileage if I were you since you need to consider resale value. I think I would look for a 99 or 2000 with lower mileage for 16-18K. Keep looking for 01 off lease GS430's, there are some good deals out there. I have seen a few 01's at 23-26K if that is in your price range. If you get the 98 or any year I would definitely get it inspected by a Lexus dealer and a mechanic you trust. Good Luck.
