Default FYI- switched out my wheels

For those of you that were a HUGE help in being honest with me about how hideous my wheels were a couple of weeks ago, I posted a few more pics of my GS with the new 5 spokes. They look SO much better! Next on my list is to lower the car. I have my springs and shocks, just going to wait a few weeks before lowering it. As you can see, the car already looks WAY better than before.

Also have some clear side markers. If anyone has some good instructions on how to install these, I'd like to try to do it myself.

Congrats on the wheels ...looks great
you need a philips scredriver

10mm socket and ratchet

unscrew the fog

pull it out

unplug it

reach and feel for nuts

take your 10mm socket and take it off

there you go

johnny

You could go through the wheel well by moving the fender liner aside but the fog lamp approach is the easiest.

Definately go through the foglight. Once you get the first one done the 2nd one will be very easy

I don't remember the other wheels you had but these look pretty good. Looks like Falken. Always wondered what they would look like on a Lexus. What size do you have?

They are Falken, ReggieK. 20 X 8.5 all around. I love the fat set up but for rotation purposes and tire replacement I went with the same size all around. As you can see I live in Arizona and I get alot of flat tires out here. I am not sure what the off set on the wheels are, I'll have to check tomorrow. Pics of the old wheels are somewhere in the GS gallery, you could probably just look up pics that I have posted. The old wheels were a 35 offset, which I know isn't the greatest off set for the GS.

I do rub a little bit in the front when I back up and crank my wheel hard to the right, which worries me a little bit since I will be lowering my car about 1.25". They didn't balance my tires right so I also have some vibration at highway speeds, but they're going to rebalance on Thursday.

As for the side markers. I will try to go through the fog lights. I am assuming I'll have to get under the car to reach for the nuts ? Pretty good explanation. Thanks TLW!

hey K

just sit on your *** and reach in with your right arm when doing the pass side

very easy this way

to take out the fogs take 2 minutes

if you go look at your fogs now you will see that they are held in by 2 philips screws

way to go Lexus

and then unplug and your fogs are out

and then the rest is easy
