Default L-Tuned Salinas 18x9.5 in front?

I ran into some guy selling a set of 4 L-Tuned Salinas and he claims that all 4 wheels are 18x9.5. So my guess is that he is selling 2 sets of rears. Is it possible to put the 18x9.5 in the front? and is that even a good idea?

No, dont do it. A while back Sewell Lexus was closing out the wheels and all they had were the rears 18x9.5. Some people bought them thinking they could run those fronts but you cant and it is not recommended. They were cheap though. $67 a wheel...

They were selling both 17s and 18s (rear only).

I'd be willing to pick up a couple of rears for nice prices. How much was he selling the 4 rears for?

Thanks. I found one seller on eBay. In his description, he says you will need spacers for front fitment. Man, spacers are the last thing you need in the front with these on a 2GS.

you are right that it is going for 200+ right now but it has not met the reserved price yet.

Hey, ran across your thread. I just bought a 2001 GS430 with Salinas wheels, but one of the fronts are slightly bent. I am finding out it is almost impossible to find a replacement, any clues or sources who may have one available? If not, can you recommend a replica or perhaps a shop that can rework it? I'm in Austin, TX.

Thanks,
Chris

I remember seeing a REPO wheel company that was making these wheels. I found it becuase at the time, there were all these ebay auctions for the 9.5 rears for $70 but no fronts. If not, you could hopefully have a wheel shop fix it like Wheel Techniques.
