Default Does "Tornado" work w/ GS series ??

Hi Gang;

Channel surfing late at night, came upon thic commercial about this Tornado device that apparently helps improve Gas Milege & horsepower . Creates a Vortex in the Air Intake ...

Anyone use this device before on GS Series ??

I have a 98 GS300 ..

If so, did you see any benefit at all ??

Or is this a scam ??

Any input appreciated !!

Default MODs

This post should belong in the "Forced Induction, Engine and Transmission" Section

The folks there should be able to help you out with your "forced induction"

It does not work. There was a recent test done by I think Consumer Reports or some other source that showed the tornado decreased horsepower and did not alter gas mileage and it or another similiar product increased fuel consumption by 10-20 percent in a few tests. I wish it worked with gas prices on the rise. Someone told me a cold air intake improves gas mileage but I thought it would decrease it since it gives the engine more power. Make sure you keep your tires inflated to the correct psi, windows up, no flags or other obstructions on the car, and air filter and oil changed for best mpg.
