Modded '06 GS430 and '00 GS400 (pics)
Took a few pics of my friends 3rd Gen. GS with my '00 GS4 just to compare and contrast!
I have to say his car is stunning-the pics don't do it justice! It is the dark blue with black (charcoal?) interior, lowered on Tein SS springs and a staggered 20" I-Forged and Toyo TS-1 setup. I really like my car a lot, but it does look a bit "dated" parked next to his... Enjoy!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!. The 3rd gen is growing on me now that I have seen them around. Didn't do much for me at all when they first came out. Seeing my friends car in person does make me reconsider though...
He will be putting on a Wald body kit soon too (plus a few more goodies)!
As far as performance comparison between the two, well let's just say we have tentative plans to find out The results will be posted of course-whatever the outcome!

Threads like this make me realize that I must be getting old. When I bought my GS back in '98, I remember so many first gen GS owners hating on the 2nd gen GS, stating that they'd never trade their 1st gen for a 2nd gen. Can't believe that was seven years ago
Nice comparison of the two models. Shows how well the 2nd gen GS has aged...still a great looking vehicle (especially when nicely modded).

Man, the 3GS continues to impress me... LOVE the dark blue!
How anybody can say it resembles a Maxima, especially in person, is beyond me. The Max is slab-sided and awkward. The GS is sleek and stretched, sort of like the Mercedes CLS.
Great combo of cars! I will be all over the 3GS when the hybrid arrives and it is time to retire my '00 GS400.

You live in orange
I see your cars almost everyday. I am the one with the silver gs430. Have you seen it? I really like the front design of the 3rd gen. The back is another story. Nice pics. I am going to sneek by your house one day and take a picture of my car in front of your house. My girl friend lives right down the street from you. You have a red SC too.........dont you?

I started to like the 3GS more than the 2GS inside & out since I saw the 2 parked side by side inside the showroom when the 3GS was launched in March, & before that, I liked the 2GS more having just seen the pics of the 3GS, but that's just me . . .
