GS430 tire question

GS430 tire question
I recently got new Pirelli Pzero Neros and new oem 18s. I had a small vibration here and there but I figured it was just from going from 16s to 18s. I brought it back to tire shop 3 times for road force rebalance. Second time it was worse and now it's a little better.
Anyway, the best balance they could get on one tire was 24lbs, and I guess another was around 20lbs too. I remembered reading Lexforlife saying that anything above 20lbs is noticable on our GS. Anyway, after the third rebalace still produced some vibration, I called Discount Tire Direct where I bought the tires and explaned that 2 of the Pirellis were out of round. They were awesome and sent me two new tires 2nd day air no prob. I had to pay a $280 deposit, but he said he'd credit me $330(install $ included) when I sent the bad ones back and they sent me a call tag. I was very impressed with them.
So here's my question. The two good tires are on one side of the car right now. They have about 1k miles on them. Do you think it's ok to put the two new tires on the same side, or should they be on the same axle?
Thanks
Chuck
Mods, I'd appreciate if this could stay in GS section for a little while. Thanks

hmmmm. i would go same axle just for the sake of even wear. however, 1k miles is really little, so i dont think your car would veer to the more worn side while driving if you mounted the new tires on one side anyway.
its strange that you have any vibration though. your 18" oem wheels should ride perfect. my winter rims are the oem sc430 18" rims, and they have no vibration, even tho i got used tires on ebay...
good luck

The Pirelli Pzero Neros have an asymmetric tread design. II would think your choice of what side to install is limited to what side the bad tires were on the car. Meaning that there's a left tire and a right tire.

no, the other way rheiy. because chuck has the pzero nero, he can put the tires on either side of the car no problem there is only outside and inside of the tire, there is no left or right

yup, they are non-directional i thought that's the thing for all assymmetric tire design, they are all non-directional?
but in case it's not, the pzero nero is assymmetric non-directional. so there is only inside and outside. it's sorta "bad" thing coz' you can never swap the tires left and right to even out the wear
