ouch... it's good to know you're okay, but with the cost of replacement parts and the mileage on the motor I'd guess you're baby's on her way to the big parking lot in the sky. Just think of it this way: she sacrificed herself so that you could escape with just a bumped head. If that isn't true love then I don't know what is.

Glad to here that your okay. They sound like they are taking care of you, just be sure they are not pulling the rug over your eyes.

Usually the Toyota dealer has close ties with the Lexus dealer and vice-versa. Just call the Service Manager of the Toyota dealer and have him/her call the Lexus Service Manager. I am sure they will check the car out free of charge to you.

Good luck.

Wow, thats not alot of damage for 40 MPH. When I crashed my Acura at 30 MPH, it looks twice as bad as that. Just shows you about Lexus.

Glad to see you're all right.

Ouch good to see your not hurt and that you are seeing the positive from this, maybe getting a newer GS.

AT least $6000 worth of damage if not more..the metal piece you're talking about is the radiator crossmount...

Man lately alot of bad things have been happening to our 2gen GS. Hope everythings okay, maybe it's a sign that you're ready to step up to 3gen GS.

HA! I wish... I sat in one at the dealer the other day when I was there talking to the manager. I'll have one when I can afford it used in a few years . I learned today from the body shop that the insurance adjuster has looked at it and will get back to them with his estimate. It needs to be about $6500 to be totaled I think... but I don't know, it gets into the whole value of the car question and that changes with whoever you talk to. Hopefully I'll come out ahead on this deal

Glad you're ok, especially since you weren't wearing your seatbelt. Hope everything works out.

Whoa....sorry man. Hope you're OK.
That sucks. If I ever total my car and live through it, I'd at least like it to be my fault and not somebody else's.
People seem to have no idea of traffic FLOW. The guy probably should have aborted and gone to the next exit, but NOOOO....
