Hello Mike... raising the thread from the dead!

On the door panels, you have to remove them and unscrew the wood panels from the back side. There are 6-8 phillips head screws holding each wood panel on, if I recall.

I can give you some instruction on door panel removal if needed; just make sure you remove the screws at the bottom of the panel and the hidden screw behind the interior door pull cover. Also, there's a screw in the hole for the side window vent/defroster duct.

On the steering wheel and ash tray; my car is a 2000, so has no wood either of these places. It's funny to see the car with those wheels and the old stock paint... it's come a long way!

It's been years since I did this mod, but the wood still looks fantastic.
