Hey Johnny. I'm back from Hawaii. If anyone deserves some JP stuff it's you. Congrats, and I hate you.

so you love the grille too huh, johnny? that's great! i had been wanting this grille on the gs ever since i first saw the jp car!

and it's amazing when you look at the backside of the grille, you can totally tell that it's all hand made, every welding and cutting! after i looked at it, i was like damn, no wonder why it costs so much. seriously on some part of the finish on the grille i think they could have been better, but overall, that's one piece of art and hard work

and that thing is stupidly heavy!

show pics johnny i know how excited you are

the construction is actualy very tricky. the outside trim of the grille is actually an oem one! basically they got an oem grille and just cut out everything in the middle. yup, on some spots you can see the cutting and drilling still.

now for the center part, it's actually REAL HEAVY metal cut and welded together to form all the horizontal slats. in terms of the slats, the surface are actually painted gloss black, but the edge (that you can see from the front, they actually sanded / polish it out so it looks silverish and shinny.

so basically from the front you will see the outside chrome trim, and then for the slats you will see chrome "lines" on the edge where everywhere else is black.

to be honest i think the grille looks absolutely the best on black gs. on other colors it looks nice, but on black it's just the best (i have to be honest, hehe...).

oh and btw, when you handle the grille, install, and even when you open up the hood, you should be careful. coz' now the outside trim is all plastic and the middle part is all metal, and without all the "middle part" of the original grille, the outside trim is actually pretty darn soft. i am not sure if it's a good idea to pull on it hard

Is there something special about the JP version if it isn't functional?
