v300, what are some cheap mods?

realistic numbers
Mike,
What is your target horsepower range? What is your budget? Do you have a local shop that can help you with certain custom fabrication? Once you answer these questions then I'll try to help out.

15-50 Hp
I would only like to gain 15-50 hp. If I could keep it under $500 that would be great. I have a friend that works for The Lexus dealer in my area, and he does work on the side for people. im not looking to gain a lot of hp, I just want a little more power.
Thanks
Mike

you have got to spend more
Since you want your car to stay naturally aspirated and looking for 15-50hp I have a few suggestions but you might have to cough out more money.
For a little more than $700 these parts should get you about 25rwhp. This has been proven on non-VVT-i 2JZGEs. You will need an A'Pex-I S-AFC or HKS Super AFC to maxiize your air-fuel mixture (more or less lean the factory setting). High performance spark plugs such as dash four to max dash seven spark plugs. You can get NGKs or Denso (Iridiums if possible). You should get a A'PEXi N1 or GReddy MX complete cat-back exhaust. You will loose a bit on the low end but you'll definitely notice a good increase in both mid and top end of the car pulling much harder up top. I think a cone filter element will not be necessary at this time.
But, if you want more than what I described on top you can add an exhaust and ignition timing cam gears (AEM, Hayamame and Unorthodox all pretty good)... -3 on exhaust and +1 on timing. Any open cone filter (recommend A'pex-I or K&N), and Unorthodox pulley set. I am not sure if they make electric fans for your car because I know the twin turbo Supras have that aftermarket option. This setup should yield 40rwhp properly dyno tuned.
<edited> I forgot one small detail. HKS has a really good ignition management system called the twin power.
Regardless the essential part of the program will center around recalibrating the air-fuel mixture and ignition. Everything eelse adds a tad bit more power at mid-top end. I hope this helps
