Rotten egg smell, or Sulpher, like Joshoowa said, usually comes from the cats. When you got the new exhaust did it included new cats? If so, the smell should fade after the internals "burn in". If not, and your cats are old, it could indicate a problem with one.

another possibility that it could be in the batteries...when the battery is going bad it can give off the odor of rotten eggs.....something to seriously look into.....be careful

I have this problem as well. There are a couple of posts on it. You may have noticed that the smell is stronger when the sunroof is open and you have accelerated aggressively or kicked it down.
There are two rubber drainage tubes that drain rain water out of the sunroof channel that run from the sunroof area to the back of the car. When the sunroof is open, a vacuum is created thereby sucking exhaust fumes into the sunroof area and then into the car.
There is a recommended fix on a post here somewhere entailing pulling up the rubber hoses at that back of the car so they don't hang down so far but I don't think it alleviates the problem completely.
Hope this is helpful.
