Hey I'm in the process of repainting my front and rear bumpers before Nopi and wanted to buy new fresh chrome stirps. I did a search and found that that are some aftermarket rolls you can buy and than cut them to spec but I don't know where to buy them also I wanted to know if the OEM strips that carson sells or any dealer for that matter will fit aftermarket kits? I just wanted to be sure before I buy oem strips and their too short. Any help would be appreciated.

Adrain i can get these rolls your talking about i have 1 for my car right now if you'd like i can take some pics so you can see first but i think the complete roll was like 25-35 bux. i have some extra but iam going to replace the chrome on my front bumper pm me if your interested or ring my cell you got the number

 

Do the chrome strips come off pretty easily? Is replacing them dummy-proof?

The OEM chrome strips fit my Vertex front and rear bumpers very well. Actually if I remember right, they were slightly long and had to cut off just a little.

They're pretty easy to remove and replace. They use double sided tape. You just need to be careful not to twist them when installing so they'll look right.
