Ok, at the last So.Cal Club Lexus meet, I saw a few cars that had just a BIT too much badging on them...Lsportline, Platinum, L-Tuned, TRD, blah, blah, blah...don't make your Lexus into a moving billboard...overdoing stickers and emblems looks dumb.
Here's what I think they look like...

Especially notice the back view...

That is the most horrendous(spelling?) car Ive ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like it noted that my car is null and void of ALL badging. If you dont know what type of car I have, the car wont tell you by looking closer....no "Lexus", no "gs400", no "L" on the trunk, and no "L" on the grill.....heehee People...Less IS more...leave the ghetto in the ghetto!!! J/K Tiny
Manaray, find my thread from eary yesterday titled "Manaray help" (7-11) and give me some feed back please...Thanks, Tiny

The Manaray Speaks...
... and the people listen.
Manaray is "laying the smack down" on all you Luxo-Riceboys/Ricegirls. Awww-yeah! I smell what you are cooking. Excuse my allusion to The Rock. I totally agree with you because I totally shutter when I pull my car next to ricey-looking GS's. You know what else I hate... I've seen a couple of pre-20 year old Asian males with GS's with stuffed dolls up the _ss hanging around the rear windshield. I guess those kids are trying to look cute, but I think it looks so f_ckin "gay" (disclaimer: not implying homosexual but slang lingo for cheap, cheesy). I especially hate GS's with that hippopotamus-looking panda stickers. Ewww! Ack!!!

Right before I bought my GS I owned a 93 Accord SE, nice little car with leather and Bose, and I remember getting a small hole in my muffler. In a few weeks the sound got louder to the point where I was embarrassed to drive it. When I see these kids driving around with these exhaust pipes that could sleep a family of four in them, and louder than a Who concert, I wonder if I had stumbled upon a trend. Just think what these kids pay for something I got for free !

There is nothing wrong with badges and stickers, it's just when people go OVERBOARD with them...(like that Mercedes)
My car has all the stock chrome badges and I have 3 stickers on a daily basis (team stickers one on each side of the car on the bottom of the small rear window...in a grey/dark silver tone, and a third membership sticker)
It's just ugly when people go all crazy and have to put every single aftermarket brand sticker they can fit...It's one thing if you're sponsored or if they're your buddy or something, but in most cases, the guy is neither sponsored or do they even know anyone at the company...
Now when it comes to shows, that's different...at a show, I'll run all my sponsorship stickers and some additional stickers (like Club Lexus, autobuzz, etc.)...but they come off right after the show...

haha, yea all ricers are all wrong, trying to steer my friends free from rice!!
just today my friend matt is like, "i want those "Matrix" lights, you know the ones that are clear with the red circle in them" he was talking about altezza lights he just read an article for them in a Matrix ad in a magazine and they probobly said "tail lights" so i told him that they are ALTEZZA lights, from the IS300 which is known as the ALTEZZA in japan where the light derived from!! and i told him that he'd be copying Lexus and that he would be a ricer boy and i would stop tuning his car if he got them! haha. They don't understand what a ricer is, i cna't really describe it, does anyone have a short description of what they are and more importantly whats so WRONG about them? i know but i need a way to tell my friends so they understand! thanks

just in VA???
<<Yall must have alot of GS competition over there in Cali, cause over here it's impressive just to have one.>>
I'll second that.
However, out here in good 'ol VA, especially SW VA...there are just some god ugly cars. I've seen two Ford Fiestas in my hometown of Lynchburg with what appear to be 12" spoke rims and I guess you call them 'curb feelers'. Everytime I see one of them I only wish I had an Expedition to run a little monster truck action on 'em!
Seems the latest fad around here is to put those large racing stripes that run down the middle of your car from front to back on your Neon or Mustang.
I've seen it all folks, and I've seen it in plentiful amounts. Color matching windshield wiper blades, bling bling wheels that probably cost three times as much as the car is worth...the list goes on and on...
It's pretty bad around here folks!
Is this common in your areas????
