Default Where did you ground your Amp?

Well Im installing my amp I was wondering where the best place to ground it would be?

Also my last system when amp turned on caused static lines in my nav screen. Does anyone know why? My wires are runing from the Battery along the passenger side door sills then up the back seat into the trunk. Could that be why to close to the Nav wires maybe a bad ground?

Thanks

Someone will most likely move this to the AV forum,
But as a rule of thumb you want to ground to be SHORT.

Maybe a foot or so away from the amp.

If your amp is in the trunk. Find a Bolt that goes to the chasis and Strip some paint underneath the where the bolt goes so you have a nice ground. Run all your Aftermaket Trunk stuff to that grounding point. (keep it short)

Just make sure it's a good ground (clean of paint and rust and you bolt it secure to that location)

I hope I explaied that correctly.

I grounded my amp in its room. It was acting up, so I sent it to bed with no supper.

The ground can be bolted on to an existing ground bolt location. You can scrape away more paint if you have to so you can get a better contact between metal and a donut connector if you using it.
