How can the lid to the change/drink holder compartment be removed????? Do I need to remove the area around the gear shift ****, or just the door that opens and closes......I had $30 neatly folded and sitting on top of my mobile phone in that compartment. When I opened the lid, as it folded back it caught the $$ and pulled it perfectly down into the crack on the farthest left edge of the compartment.(I could only see the VERY corner of the bills) I put my finger under the lid and folded it towards the closed position. When you do this you can feel a ridge(which grabbed my $$) on the underside of the lid that is designed for the lid to rest against in the "open" position. If anyone knows how to remove the lid or the whole plastic area that borders our gear shift **** and change/drink holder please post details....Its not that I miss the $30, but a loose penny under one of my seats makes crazy, much less two bills that I cannot get to....I MUST HAVE THOSE OUT OF THE CRACK!!! (no pun intended) Its making me nuts!..
The bills quickly sank out of sight so I will have to get inside that little area. All suggestions welcome, I called on Globe because Ive read some of his threads about dis-assembling odd parts of the car....HELP!!
Thank You, Tiny

i've been gone for a few days so i didn't see ur post, sorry for the late reply

use a flathead screwdriver, smaller the better. pop the wood piece out from the center bottom, where the VSC button and power/snow mode buttons are near. Snap those 2 spots outta place, then snap the left and right sides with the flathead. the whole wood, along with the cupholder and around the shifter should all come right out. the 30 bucks will be sitting there

be sure you shift the car into N.
