Default Get a new IS350 or used GS430?

Looking for opinions on the following. Long story short, I had a 01 GS300 which I got rid of last year. I was all set to get a 01-03 GS430, but now with the IS350 almost out I'm wondering if I should go that route. I figure there are some advantages to the new IS350 over the older GS, like:

1. Newer technology, more power but better mileage, 6sp trans vs. 5sp, etc.
2. Better, next generation nav and ML if I go that route (probably would)
3. Features you can't get on the older GS, like keyless entry and start, vented seats, 18" wheels available, etc.
4. Brand new design, will look newer longer than the older GS, plus full warranty of course when buying new.
5. I like the looks, more sporty (IMO) than the old GS

On the other hand, getting an older GS430 would give me:

1. More size and class, maybe?
2. V8 torque and smoothness
3. Cheaper, figure maybe $30k for a nice used GS430 and the new IS will be $40k?
4. Won't have to pay a preimum (full MSRP) and can take my time to get a good deal

What do you think? Honestly I'm leaning to the new IS but I'd like to get everyone's take. Is the "old" GS still worth it?

New cars are a hopeless waste of money.
Used at three years + 30 thousand miles gives you the best deal.

the new IS is very inticing. I have thought about it instead of my 430. That said, I'd still wait on buying the IS since it's a first year of brand new design and the hit you take on brand new.

A used 430 will give you great bang for the buck these days, and if you find one still under bumper to bumper warranty, you have nothing to lose. You can take it to any Lexus dealer and they will fix any problem you can find.
