i just found a used 01 GS430 with 8k miles for sale for $41995. it's balck/black. it didn't have the navigation system but had everything else. is it just me or is that a really good price?

please people, help me out on this and tell me if it's as good a deal as i think it is, before it gets sold.
oh, it didn't have the mark levinson sys either.

well, that's about invoice for new. what would you pay for a demo with 8k on it. if this is owner driven then it's probably even better. if you don't want it pass it on to me...

zz,

well, a brand new gs430 equipped as you described(called premium pkg) can be had here in LA for ~$45100. i know over in the east coast, the prices are a bit higher as we have more competition here.

so it really depends on how you look at/from what perspective. as D-man said, is it from a lexus dealer/private party/some used car lot?

i would only get it if it were from a lex dealer/private party and try to obtain all the info such as previous ownership and 1st 5k service record. the reason being that i have heard too many odonmeter tempering at independent car lots-too scary for cars cost this much.

the most i would pay for is $41k +fees. to ME, IMHO, i would take a new one at this point for price and new car financing at $45100. but the new car pricing over at dc might be higher. is this the color you want? remember, you are spending over $40k on a car, so the least you can do is to have a color you like, right?

as you read in the open forum, new gs430 sales are down big time, so the prices have to come down too.

you can actuallly have a brand new one shipped to you for ~$46200. remember, when the car is registered as the one you are interested, it loses 10% of value-no matter how low the miles are. that is how i come up w/$41k is my bottom line.

take a test drive, and if it is from a private party, have a good tech guy check out the car. if it does not work out, let me know if you like a new one. i can be reached via PM box, or

the car WAS at a private dealer. they did have the record for the 5k service and the car was spottless.

you guys noticed how i said "WAS"?
i went back today and it was sold. i can't believe it, they had it for less than 24 hours.
oh well, i really wanted the nav sys. cause i have it on my gs3 and i don't think i can live without it. hehehe, it's nice not having to ask for directions, ever. so my search goes on...

thanks anyway guys.
