I have a 2002 GS300 with Nav system. Recently my NAV stopped working and when I brought it to Hendrick Lexus they told me that they thought the disk might be scratched and I could spend $300 to buy a new one and hope that it works. I prefer not to waste money on something that may not work.

I am looking for another owner in the area with Navigation who I can borrow the nav disc from for just a minute or two and pop it in my car. It is prefered if it is the latest disc as that is what Lexus would be giving me.

Is anybody here from the Charlotte area and have a NAV system?

I'm in Charlotte but don't have the right disk.

I do know someone in CLT with a 2003 Sportdesign, but I don't think he has Navi

Just take it to the dealer and ask to try one out of one of the cars on the lot w/o a scratch. have the dealer do it for you to make sure that is the issue.

You can also try one of the CD scratch removers things they sell at stereo stores... sometimes they work.

Hey Dave, you were probably referring to me and I do have Nav. However, my car is going into the body shop tomorrow (for some things ;-) ) and i am flying out of town through Monday. If Hendrick won't do what Dave is suggesting and you can wait until next weekend then maybe we can hook up.

Yep Wes was thinking about you! Thought I recalled you talking about upgrading head unit and assumed you didn't have nav. Good for Tzvi that I was wrong / had faulty memory

Maybe we should make it a mini-meet in Charlotte.

Hendrick told me that they had no discs available to try. Hence I needed to spend the money to buy a disc and try it.

I did try to use scratch removers, but the scratch is too deep.
